Definition of LASER

The LASER works on the principle of stimulated emission of radiation. Thus, it is called Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. The stimulated emission is the emission of the photon by striking the atom with the similar photon.

LED and its symbol

If electrical energy is supplied to the electron at the lower energy level, it will jump from valence band to conduction band absorbing the additional energy supplied to it. This process is called Absorption.

  What Is Alternating Current? An  alternating current  can be defined as a current that changes its magnitude and polarity at regular intervals of time. It can also be defined as an electrical current that repeatedly changes or reverses its direction opposite to that of Direct Current or DC, which always flows in a single direction as shown below From the graph, we can see that the charged particles in AC tend to start moving from zero.
